Based on our Pitch Party meeting, the Phnom Penh Players have voted on our show schedule for the first half of next year and boy is it a busy one!
First out of the gate, we are pleased to announce The Vagina Monologues is set to return to Phnom Penh! Show dates which will be Friday 15th, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th February 2019. With a possibility of it going on tour.
Vagina Monologues is held in conjunction with V-Day, the 2019 V-day Spotlight will be on Women in Prison, Detention Centers, and Formerly Incarcerated Women.
Just a few weeks later, on March 13, director Chas Hamilton makes his return with his labor of love adaptation of Shanghai Cabaret! Auditions will be held the weekend of the 15/16 of December, so watch this space.
Next up, on April 5-7, we have The Orphan Train, telling the story of the The Orphan Train Movement, started by the Children’s Aid Society (established 1853 by Charles Loring Brace), transported orphaned and homeless children from crowded Eastern cities of the United States to
homes located largely in rural areas of the Midwest. Auditions will be announced soon.
After a much need rest, we will return in June for the Spanish classic, The Great Theater of the World!
